SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Electrical connections may only be carried out by specialized personnel.

2. Take care that, before starting the assembly operations, the mains conductor is disconnected from the electrical supply, the fuse is removed or the switch is left in the “OFF” position. The connection to the network will be made through the corresponding connection box as explained in the figures.

3. This luminaire is only suitable for use indoors (not in damp places) and can only be used according to its type of construction (eg as a fixed-installation wall lamp). Maximum allowed ambient temperature 25°C.

4. Do not mount the luminaire on damp, freshly painted or electrically conductive surfaces.

5. Connect the cables of the luminaire with those of the same color that come out of the wall or ceiling.

6. Use support systems according to the weight of the device.

7. Always keep connections and cables away from heat sources.

8. Make sure that the installation ducts are not damaged by the fixing screws.

9. Always try to apply the appropriate type of lamp in each case (see the data on the label of the luminaire).

10. Keep the instructions in a safe place.

11. Use protectors for power cables.

12. Care is limited to surfaces, screens, glass, reflectors and coatings. Gold or brass luminaires should only be cleaned with a damp cloth (no cleaning agents). Pay attention that moisture does not penetrate the electrical connections.

13. Use halogen lamps manufactured at low pressure and with low ultraviolet radiation. (UV-STOP).

14. Our products are subject to technical changes or optimizations, therefore we are not responsible that all technical information is updated. In case of questions, do not hesitate to call our technical department.

15. If the cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it must be replaced exclusively by the manufacturer, or its technical service or a person with equivalent qualifications in order to avoid any risk.

16. Under no circumstances should the luminaire be covered.

17. The lamps get very hot during operation. Touch them only when they have cooled down, after 15 minutes.

18. Do not use luminaires with damaged or broken glass, until they are replaced.

19. Do not hang or support items on the luminaires.

20. The Products must be correctly installed by specialized personnel and function in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

21. Never access the luminaire without disconnecting from the network.

22. For products that allow regulation, previously check the compatibility between the regulation components. If non-compatible drives are used, failures may occur.

23. Luminaires for fluorescent tubes that allow regulation, must be left in operation for the first 100 hours without regulation.

24. Avoid looking directly at the light source to prevent glare or other disturbances.

25. Outdoor portable luminaires can only be connected to socket outlets with the same IP rating as the luminaire.

26. If the luminaire includes cable glands, verify that they are tight.

27. Luminaires with LED technology are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Handle with the necessary precautions to avoid them and do not touch the LED without protection.

28. The maximum admissible ambient temperature ta indicated must not be exceeded since it implies a reduction in the hours of useful life or even a premature failure of the product. If the ta is not marked on the label, it will always be 25ºC.

29. In the event of installing the luminaire in bathrooms, first review the Installation Regulations to confirm in what volume it is suitable and what degree of IP protection is required.

30. In class III luminaires, the power supply equipment to be used must comply with all its applicable European Directives and be in accordance with the installation regulations.

31. When the light source of the luminaire is non-replaceable, when it reaches the end of its life the entire luminaire must be replaced.

31. When the light source of the luminaire is not replaceable by the user, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer, its technical service or equivalent qualified person.

32. In luminaires with LED tubes, do not retrofit, pay close attention to how the tube must be connected to each lamp holder.

33. The voltage and frequency of the fixed installation cannot differ by 5% from that indicated on the label of the luminaire.

34. Never clean the luminaire with pressure systems.

35. The groups of luminaires between the three phase conductors of a three-phase circuit with a single neutral conductor must have at least one cutting device that simultaneously disconnects all the phase conductors.

36. External cables and strands of cables connected inside or passing through a luminaire must be chosen and installed in such a way that they do not suffer damage or deterioration caused by heat or UV radiation generated by the luminaire or its lamp ( for example by shielding).

37. Luminaires with LED modules should be positioned in such a way that they are not exposed to direct sunlight or other sources of heat.

38. Do not modify or manipulate the light source in any way not described in this manual. Do not affix labels or other materials directly to the light source. To modify the appearance of the beam, only use accessories accepted by the manufacturer.

39. It is advisable to carry out checks at least once a year or within the period recommended for the maintenance of each luminaire depending on the installation.

40. In recessed luminaires, the minimum distances indicated inside the recess must be respected.

41. Type of insulation between the power supply and the control conductors must be main if the control device is Class I or reinforced if the control device is Class II.

42. In luminaires with connection by means of a box and protection sleeve, see the network connection figures, only the length of the fixed installation wiring that remains inside the protection sleeve may enter the luminaire.

43. The power conductors must be able to withstand at least 90ºC

44. Recessed luminaires must be powered with a double-insulated installation cable, ensuring that the main insulation is not accessible once connected.
